ABOUT ME.
The Journey.
My family has been involved in the world of arts and entertainment for as long as I can remember. My doorway into the field of art was through dance. I began dancing at the age of three and till this day I continue. I enrolled into Arizona State University (ASU) and majored in Performance & Movement. The program offered dance, theatre, and music production. It was in this field that I had the opportunity to learn many styles and forms of dance. During my time at ASU, I was accepted into the Debbie Allen Dance Academy and Millennium Dance Complex, where I received even more intensive training and was able to train in between my semesters. In December 2017, I was part of the first class to graduate from ASU majoring in Performance & Movement. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelors in Fine Arts.
After college I gave myself a year to get my life together and turn my passion into a profession. Nothing was happening for me, and I fell into a depression. It was my mother who helped me to get back on my feet and encouraged me to fight for what I wanted. Rather than focusing on dance, I branched off into other things I liked in entertainment; MOVIES! Later I found myself relocating to Los Angeles, California, and enrolling into another school, The New York Film Academy. I majored in Acting For Film, where I received an extensive amount of hands-on experience, and was blessed with many opportunities. I had the chance to network with new faces and well-known names in the field. I was able to work on the Universal Studios backlot, shoot and star in many short films and plays, do voice-over work, Stand-up comedy, screen write, direct, produce, and the list goes on. May 2020, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Masters in Fine Arts, in Acting For Film.
Shortly after graduation, my plans for my career were interrupted by COVID. Businesses and production studios closed down and eventually I ended up having to return back home to Arizona. However, that did not stop me. I still submitted for auditions, took classes, and perfected my craft. Likewise, the pandemic gave me the time to CREATE, CREATE, CREATE! I began my screenwriting career by creating stories I have always wanted to be a part of, for example, “The Twilight Saga”, “Marvel Studios”, “The Underworld Saga”, “Fast & Furious” etc. These were projects I could see myself in, but since they were already created, I decided to bring my own ideas to life and create a world, in which, I knew I could be a part of.
When businesses began to, somewhat, open back up, I continued to write, but I also started to focus on my acting career again. January 2021, I received my first talent agent. I’ve been booked for commercials, industrial projects, voice-overs, and I have been able to revert back to my first love, dance, and have been featured in music videos.
Over the years, I have had ups and downs, acceptance and rejection, but giving up was never an option. I have many talents that I plan on sharing in this field of entertainment and soon the world will know my name. However, if it wasn’t for prayer and the love and support of my family, I would not be where I am today! The journey still continues.
No one ever said it would be easy. If it were easy, everyone would do it.
Something my mother always told me.
